Sage started off as a UK company providing accounting solutions. They have now expanded worldwide and offer business management products in addition to their accounting products.

In my job with CSL I used to install, train, and support users using Sage's Financial Controller software (DOS based). I watched this software evolve in to Sage for Windows, with the most recent incarnations being Sage Line 50 and Line 100, Windows versions of the popular DOS product.

I have had exposure to a number of other accounting packages, including Tetra 2000 and Tetra Chameleon. I understand the basic principles of accounting systems including sales ledger, purchase ledger, genereal ledger, sales order processing, purchase order processing, stock control and fixed asset systems.
