Although having had no formal engineering training, I have had considerable experience with the Mitel SX2000 family of PBXs.

Whilst employed at Jersey Telecoms I sold the SX2000 to a number of customers and am conversant on the technology and structure of the system, including multi-site installations with fibre remote cabinets and dual-processor systems.

I have considerable experience in programming and configuring the system. At JT I was responsible for in-house telephony (400+ users) and performed a large amount of system programming, ranging from every day moves and changes to the installation of ACD in a number of business units. I have a good understaning of Mitel ACD and have considerable experience with Mitel ACD Supervisor, a Unix based product used for monitoring and reporting of an ACD installation. My involvement with this product extends to custom report writing and configuration of LED wallboards/readerboard signs. I have used the features of the Mitel Automatic Route Selection (ARS) package to implement a multi-site numbering plan, interworking with a number of PBXs in a multi-vendor network.

Although not employed in an engineering capacity, I had full engineering access to the PBX. I believe this was due to the technical competancy I demonstrated to the engineers who regularly worked on the product and the mutual level of respect involved.

After leaving JT I was contracted by a number of companies to do moves and changes, reconfiguration, and ACD configuration changes.
