I believe I have a good set of morals, values, and ethics. "Open, honest communication" is one of my mantras and respect is very important to me.

Work Environment
I am hard working and conscientious, and enjoy a challenge. At the same time, I am also a realist and will stand back to look at the bigger picture, asking questions if need be. I believe work is something you should enjoy doing, not something you do just to get the pay cheque. To this end, I have to believe in and have passion for the job that I do - money is not a big motivator. There's something to be said for sanity and balance.

I can be somewhat non-conventional, thinking outside the box and proposing ideas and solutions that may not have been previously considered. Team work and communication go hand in hand and I am a big proponent of products like phpBB and WakkaWiki to enable collaboration and idea sharing between people, co-workers, departments.

I am quick to grasp new concepts, especially in relation to technical issues or products. I have strong problem solving skills and enjoy the challenge of designing a solution to a problem. Seeing the fruits of my labours is important to me, I like to have a sense of accomplishment and see that my work has made a difference to the organisation.

The quality of my work and my attitude whilst working speak for themselves and can be seen from my references, available on request.

Home Environment
The respect and open, honest communication mantras apply. I have found a number of cultural differences between people in Canada and the USA and my friends back in the UK. That said, I have a good circle of friends here and continue to enjoy meeting new people as well as keeping in regular contact with friends and family in the UK. I enjoy socialising, music, movies and travel. I also enjoy taking it easy, relaxing, doing my own thing. Again, it's about balance.
